In the words of a famously grumpy old man in a favourite TV sitcom of mine... "I Don't Believe It!"
I can't begin to believe that its almost two months since I last posted on this blog! I hope the regular readers have missed my rants, raves and adventures but I'm back with a vengeance and I intend to stay here too.
As you will have read in my last blog post, I flew back from the summer season in Kos on October 13th, long enough ago to have lost the small amount of sun tan that I had developed. As my brother pointed out I have returned to my regular pale blue complexion!
Well the winter is generally time off for me. After 6 months of performing my full 2-hour show five nights a week... I deserve a bit of "me" time however I've enjoyed the few gigs I have done since my return in pubs and similar venues around the UK and I'm just about to hit Christmas party season. I got back on October 13th safe and sound and I was staying with my mum for a couple of weeks down in lovely Berkshire, then travelled to stay with a friend for a weekend in Manchester and finally back to the North East where I'm currently staying the wintertime out with my dad and step-mum.
So I've been spending a lot of time thinking and I'm already preparing for the Kos Summer Season 2009. I'm really looking forward to my return and I'm writing a brand new show ready for next year. One comment that I heard about a lot of the other entertainers in Kos is that they always have the same act year in year out. I refuse to get into that rut. It's very, very easy as an entertainer to stick to what you are comfortable with. I've done my current family show now for 4 years and its time for a change.
I've been sent a lot of very positive comments and reviews from people who enjoyed the show this summer in Kos and they have inspired me to continue to build on this "fanbase". Many of them are returning next summer and so I want to have a new show to keep everything fresh.
I'm also putting the finishing touches on my new adults only xxx-rated hypnotic show, "Hypnotica" which will be launching in April with a big theatre performance in Manchester and also a DVD release. I'll let you know as soon as the tickets go on sale!
I had to get up very early (6.00 am) this morning as I went to visit the BNI (a fantastic business networking organisation where businessmen and women can exchange business referrals). I used to be a member however with weekly meetings this became impossible to maintain with the amount of time I spend working abroad.
Anyway, as much as I'd like to go back to sleep right now I will force myself to stay away and try to continue writing for the new show.

I'll drop another blogpost in the next couple of days to let you know about the very exciting news I have this Christmas!
Till next time,
Best wishes,
