Well then today I'm travelling back to the UK after my summer season here in Kos!
This morning I flew from Kos to Athens, and I'm currently sitting at Athens Airport waiting for my connection flight to London Stansted. About another 3 hours left. Thanks to the wonders of wireless internet connectivity I have managed to update my blog from my website... ta dah!
I'll be posting back once I'm firmly back on UK soil so watch this space!

They Think It's All Over!
Well after a whirlwind season it's all over. The summer is just about at an end and this evening I performed my LAST show of Kos 2008! The audience for the last night was smaller than it has been for a long time as the resort grows quieter but they were a great crowd to perform for.
The last week I've spent most of my life either sleeping, drinking or sunbathing, desperately trying to get a bit more of a tan onto my previously pale-blue skin! Actually its pale blue with small red mosquito bites across it!!!
Anyway on Monday I'll be flying to Athens where I will spend about 4 hours before catching a connection flight to Stansted. I have about a week and a half off, which I'll be spending with my mum at her new home down south before venturing up to the North West for a gig in Cumbria and then to Manchester for a week and finally up home to the North East.
It's been a hell of a summer and GOOD NEWS, today I have just signed the contract with another bar for the summer of 2009. Paradiso Bar in Kardamena will be my shows new home, every Tuesday, Friday & Sunday (he wants me to do 4 nights a week but I think it will be hard to fit in!) for next summer.
Bookings are coming in fast for November, December & January so get your enquiries in soon. Check out my calendar at www.ComedyHypnosis.co.uk!

Rain On The Parade!
Well it's been a while since I've got to this blog. I promise I'll be here more often from now on.
I'm still living in Kos at the moment. With another 2-3 weeks to go we can already see the season closing down. I'm still on 5 shows a week but the Island is getting quieter and quieter.
There is a deadly depression among all of the workers out here. It's the end of the Summer Season 08, but no one wants to admit it...
I've got a gig at Sydney Bar, Kefalos tonight. Unfortunately the show is open-air and it appears to be raining a little at the moment. We might be in Greece but the skies are overcast and they is the expectation of the storm tonight which will be fun! When it storms in Greece it really does storm!!!
Kind regards,

Powercuts
Havent had a chance to post on here for a while. I keep saying that I will post more regularly but things always get in my way...
Had a busy week this week. I started by taking a couple of days away and travelling to see my friend Simon's show in Rhodes... ended up doing part of the show and hypnotising people after the show too.. all good fun!
Unfortunately I missed the boat that I was supposed to jump on and had to hang around in Rhodes town with a very heavy bag for quite some time. I managed to get home a couple of hours before my show here in Kardamena which went super well.
Simon and I are working on a special joint show and have already had one enquiry about it for a Christmas party in London this year. Details to follow.
I've also had an enquiry for doing a show for a big weekend's reunion for one of the Rep companies who is currently out here. Again - details to follow soon!
Plus shows have been so busy here in Kardamena that the Two Johnnies Bar have asked me to do a third night here each week. We blocked the street on Tuesday night with our audience.
I'm off to Tingaki for a show now so I'll post again tomorrow!
Kind regards,
Robert Temple!

A Beautiful Friendship!
Good evening... Just a quick post before I nip off to my show this evening. Had a great show last night and had a great surprise about 30 seconds before I went on stage. I felt a tap on the shoulder and found my friend Simon Warner had come to visit. Simon is a fellow comedy hypnotist who works around the Island of Rhodes... just a short ferry ride from me.
So we were lucky to spend the night after my show discussing hypnotism, techniques, sketches and ideas. Here's a couple of photos of me hypnotising at a local bar shortly after my show.....

Till next time,
Kind regards,
Robert Temple

Burnt & Hungover...
It's been a few days since I've managed to get to my blog. I'm currently chilling out with 2 electric fans pointing directly at me.
I'm still in my summer season in Greece, just 7 weeks and 1 day left till I'll be returning to the UK though. The seasons going fast.
Last night I decided to go out and have a few drinks... lets just say those few drinks got the better of me and turned into lots of drinks. I don't really remember what happened after that. Aparently I turned up at a local 24 hour bar and was virtually carried home by a friend who managed to let me in! Hmmm...
However perhaps it was a good thing. Somehow I woke up at 11.00am this morning feeling incredible. So, OK I couldn't remember what the hell I'd done the night before but now I feel fantastic. I spent the day in and sunbathing next to my local pool with pals Matt and Joe. We had a great day with a game of water volleyball (I failed miserably!) and I caught the sun too - it's all good.
I have a show in about an hour and a half so I'm going to set off to set up for that soon.
I got an e-mail today from a recent audience member whose sister was hypnotised... I mentioned her in the last blog post - she was the lady who.. erm.. didn't like the naked glasses! Anyway, her sister filmed some of the show and has put together this video.. Hope you enjoy it:

You Learn Something New Every Day
Morning, tis a wild world with live in and as clever and clued up as you can think you are, there is still room to learn every single day...
I discovered this during one of my shows last week. In the show I have a pair of giant novelty glasses. I give the volunteers the suggestion that when they wear them, every member of the opposite sex in the room is completely naked.
During this particular show I gave these glasses to a female 20-something and she looked around the room absolutely disgusted, something which has never happened during my show before. She quickly took them off saying that she didn't like them and wouldn't wear them.
So I laughed it off, handed them to someone else and assumed that she was an innocent, sweet thing who wouldn't want to see something like that.
Anyway, she came over to me after the show and explained... her family had told her what she had done during the show and it all fell immediately into place for them. She informed me that she is gay and so when, in her imagination, she saw a room full of naked men she was quite put off and removed the glasses quickly.
She doesn't remember doing it but at least we know why. The power of the imagination is so incredible. I'll never forget that show and I think I'll change my script to suggest that "every member of the audience of their preferred sex" is completely naked!
Next week we'll be starting work on a mini documentary that I'm making about pain. I've always been interested in the idea of pain control and mind over matter. I'll be using my powers of suggestion and hypnotism to give someone out here in Greece completely painless tattoo!!!
Details to follow.

Take care,
